Tatarstan: The UAE, through its Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, actively participated in the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum - 2025, which took place in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. The forum served as a platform for dialogue among ministers, senior officials, and industry decision-makers about the future of the oil and gas sector and the integration of innovation to promote sustainability.
According to Emirates News Agency, the UAE delegation was led by Saif Ghobash, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Petroleum, Gas and Mineral Resources Sector at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. On the sidelines of the forum, Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, engaged in discussions with Ghobash to explore avenues for bilateral cooperation. Their talks focused on exchanging expertise in petroleum, gas, and clean energy, as well as exploring potential investment opportunities and partnerships aimed at advancing sustainable development and strengthening relations.
Ghobash noted that the UAE's involvement in the event highlights the nation's dedication to forming effective strategic partnerships in the energy sector. He emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the fields of innovation, digital economy, education, and urban planning.
