ABU DHABI: The UAE is set to host the 18th regular meeting of the leaders of the Shura, Representatives, National, and Ummah Councils of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries tomorrow. The meeting will be led by Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC). In conjunction with this event, the 19th Parliamentary Coordination, Foreign Relations Committee meeting will also take place.
According to Emirates News Agency, Saqr Ghobash highlighted the importance of these meetings in enhancing Gulf parliamentary collaboration and aligning efforts to fulfill the vision of GCC leaders, while addressing regional and international developments. He emphasized the role of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting the shared interests of GCC states on the global stage.

Omani Shura Council Chairman Khalid Bin Hilal Al Maawali underscored the role of legislative councils in strengthening social, economic, and cultural ties within the Gulf, contributing to a stable and prosperous future. He praised the UAE’s leadership for hosting the event and conveyed confidence in the outcomes of the discussions.
