Abu Dhabi:The United Arab Emirates has extended its solidarity to the Syrian Arab Republic in the aftermath of severe floods caused by heavy rainfall in eastern Syria. The natural disaster has led to numerous deaths, injuries, and missing persons.

According to Emirates News Agency, the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement expressing sincere condolences and sympathy to the families affected by the tragedy, as well as to the Syrian government and its citizens. The Ministry also conveyed wishes for a speedy recovery for those injured.

Furthermore, the UAE expressed hope that ongoing search and rescue operations would successfully locate the missing individuals.
