UAE President and Slovak Prime Minister Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Robert Fico, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, engaged in discussions to explore ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and expand prospects for development, particularly focusing on areas such as the economy, trade, renewable energy, innovation, future technologies, and culture.

According to Emirates News Agency, the talks centered on aligning efforts to serve the mutual interests of both nations and support their shared vision for sustainable development and prosperity. The meeting occurred at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, with His Highness welcoming His Excellency Fico, who is on a working visit to the UAE.

At the outset, His Excellency Fico conveyed greetings from His Excellency Peter Pellegrini, President of the Slovak Republic, along with best wishes for the UAE’s continued progress and prosperity. Both leaders reaffirmed the strength of their countries’ bilateral relationship and its growth across various fields, expressing a shared commitment to further enhancing cooperation, particularly in strategic and economic sectors.

The discussions also involved exchanging views on regional and international developments of joint interest, emphasizing the importance of promoting dialogue and diplomatic solutions to global crises. Additionally, His Highness and the Slovak Prime Minister witnessed the exchange of a cooperation agreement in the economic field and a memorandum of understanding on investment between the UAE and Slovakia.

Representing the UAE in the agreement exchange was His Excellency Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, while His Excellency Vladim­r €š¬…¡¬¦ imon¡k, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, represented Slovakia. The meeting included attendance by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; along with a number of ministers and senior officials. The Slovak delegation accompanying the Prime Minister included several ministers and senior officials.
