Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan awarded the Order of the Mother of the Nation to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, recognizing his advocacy for social causes. This accolade was given under the honorary category of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Programme for Excellence and Community Intelligence during its seventh edition. The President also recognized the programme's winners across its different categories.
According to Emirates News Agency, the ceremony was held at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed congratulated H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, acknowledging his significant contributions to social causes over the years. Sheikh Hamdan has led various humanitarian, social, and developmental initiatives aimed at improving individual and community welfare.
The President also extended his congratulations to all winners of the Sheikha Fatima Programme's seventh edition, commending their contributions to society. He expressed gratitude to the Supreme Committee leading the programme's seventh edition, chaired by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Vice Chairman.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reiterated the UAE's commitment to social cohesion and stability, emphasizing the importance of initiatives that support the nation's vision. He urged ongoing efforts to develop programmes that strengthen the fabric of society.
