Uae president: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today held a meeting with His Excellency Asaad Al-Shaibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic.
According to Emirates News Agency, the discussion began with His Excellency Al-Shaibani extending greetings from His Excellency Ahmed Al-Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, along with wishes for the UAE's continued progress and prosperity. In response, His Highness conveyed his own greetings to President Al-Sharaa, expressing hopes for Syria's progress and development.
The meeting was an opportunity for both leaders to discuss the fraternal ties that bind their nations, focusing on cooperation across sectors such as development and the economy. They explored various ways to support their developmental priorities, aiming to enhance mutual interests and ensure the prosperity and wellbeing of their citizens.
In addition to bilateral relations, the conversation also addressed regional issues of shared interest, with particular attention to recent developments in the Middle East. The engagement reflects the ongoing commitment of both nations to work collaboratively on pressing regional matters.
The meeting saw the presence of several high-ranking officials including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; and other notable sheikhs and officials.
