Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today welcomed His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the Minister of Defence from Kuwait, who is visiting the UAE for the ‘UAE-Kuwait: Brothers Forever’ week.

According to Emirates News Agency, the initiative is set to begin tomorrow and will last for a week, taking place across all seven emirates. During their meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Abdullah delivered greetings from His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, expressing wishes for the UAE’s continued advancement and prosperity. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reciprocated by congratulating the Emir of Kuwait on their national celebrations and extended his best wishes for Kuwait’s progress and prosperity.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed gratitude to the UAE President for the warm reception and the UAE’s participation in Kuwait’s National Day celebrations, acknowledging the strong ties between the two nations. The discussions between the leaders focused on the enduring fraternal relations between the UAE and Kuwait and explored opportunities to enhance cooperation in various areas to benefit their mutual interests and shared aspirations for development.

The meeting also included discussions on regional and international developments of mutual interest. Attendees from the UAE included H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, as well as several Sheikhs and top officials.

The Kuwaiti delegation comprised Her Excellency Dr Noura Al-Mashaan, Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Sheikh Hamoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and other senior officials.
