Kortrijk: The UAE Development Team emerged victorious at the Kortrijk Koerse race in Belgium, a one-day cycling event, with Dutch rider Sofie van Rooijen clinching first place after a 10-month hiatus from the winner's podium. Van Rooijen completed the 127.6-kilometre race in 3 hours, 4 minutes, and 17 seconds.

According to Emirates News Agency, Van Rooijen delivered a strong performance in the final sprint, securing the win and marking her return to the podium. Charlotte Kool of Fenix-Deceuninck finished in second place, while Kathrin Schweinberger from Human Powered Health secured third.

The UAE team fielded a robust squad for the race, including two riders from the WorldTour team alongside Van Rooijen and Alena Ivanchenko. The team also featured promising young talents Fee Knaven, Eilidh Shaw, and Magdalena Leis, as well as Emirati riders Zahra Hussain and Safiya Alsayegh.
