Lincoln: Ready to make its second appearance in as many years, UAE Team Emirates-XRG announced its six-rider lineup for the Lloyds Tour of Britain. The five-day stage race begins in Lincoln on Wednesday, 2 September and draws to a close in Earlston on Sunday, 6 September.
According to Emirates News Agency, the 22nd Tour of Britain features stage finishes in Skegness, Beverley, and Leyburn as it traverses Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, and the Scottish Borders. For UAE Team Emirates-XRG, Sports Directors Fabrizio Guidi and Aner Moreno will lead the team, which includes riders Mikkel Bjerg, Beno®t Cosnefroy, Felix Gro¸schartner, Nils Politt, Florian Vermeersch, and Tim Wellens.
Politt, a seasoned rider with five previous appearances in Britain, and Cosnefroy, who is eager to tackle the race's challenging terrain, will be key components of the team's strategy. While stages 2 and 3 may offer opportunities for sprint finishes, the varied terrain provides ample chances for puncheurs to vie for the overall victory.
The 2026 Tour of Britain concludes in the Scottish Borders, with Earlston hosting the start and finish of stage 5. This final stage features a 156.1km route with 2,236m of climbing, setting the stage for an intense battle for the overall win.
