Sharjah:The University of Sharjah (UoS) and Rubu' Qarn for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation in empowering young people and developing their leadership and creative capacities.

According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement was signed by Prof. Esameldin Agamy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, and Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director-General of Rubu' Qarn. The partnership aims to strengthen the social and developmental roles of both institutions.

Prof. Agamy highlighted the university's commitment to impacting society positively, a vision established by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah. He noted that UOS offers 159 academic programs that contribute to preparing a generation capable of leadership and innovation, and praised Rubu' Qarn’s support of the university’s mission.

Sheikha Jawaher expressed her pleasure in signing the memorandum, which aligns with the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah on community partnerships. She emphasized that the agreement would enhance the development of young people's skills through specialized training and educational programs.

The areas of cooperation include conducting joint research on leadership and innovation, launching research scholarships, establishing business incubators and innovation labs, and supporting social entrepreneurship. The agreement also involves designing training programs in leadership and emerging technologies, developing joint digital platforms, and coordinating relevant conferences and forums.
