The United States hoped that consultations between Washington and partners in the region on Sudan would reach an approach that would be announced during the next few days regarding the crystallization of a solution to the current situation.
The two warring parties are clearly not taking advantage of the format given to them by Riyadh and Washington, Alhurra TV channel quoted a senior official in the US Department of State as saying. "It's not succeeding in the way they had originally agreed in terms of this step-by-step process to reach a permanent cessation of hostilities." He hoped these consultations would reach an approach to be announced during the next few days.
