VTC head, Brazilian delegation discuss cooperation

Amman: Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC), Ahmad Mufleh Gharaibeh, discussed with a Brazilian delegation from the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) and the National Industrial Training Corporation (SENAI), the enhancement of bilateral cooperation in vocational training.

During the meeting, the Brazilian delegation presented its leading experience in vocational training, while Gharaibeh emphasized the importance of learning about the experiences of other countries in this field, pointing out that vocational training around the world has become an important facilitator in providing economic opportunities and addressing the challenges of unemployment and job opportunities for youth and equipping them with the skills that qualify them to enter the labor market.

Gharaibeh expressed the VTC’s interest in enhancing its cooperation with international bodies specialized in developing the vocational and technical training sector in Jordan, stressing that the VTC seeks to provide quality pr
ograms for young men and women in all governorates, and provided details about the programs offered by the VTC.

Gharaibeh pointed out that vocational and technical education and training receive special attention from His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, stressing that the VTC seeks to reflect the royal visions related to vocational training by establishing international partnerships and modernizing the training system and programs.

Gharaibeh also highlighted VTC’s strategic themes for 2022-2025, which stem from Jordan’s economic modernization vision, stressing its connection to the vocational and technical education and training sector.

Concluding the visit, the delegation toured the Jordanian Academy for Tourism and Hospitality, and was briefed on the advanced workshops and equipment included in the academy, as well as the specializations it offers.
