Abu Dhabi: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Families Affairs and Chairman of the Arab Youth Centre (AYC), the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2025 will host the 4th Arab Meeting for Young Leaders. Organised by the AYC in collaboration with the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, the meeting is scheduled for 10th February.
According to Emirates News Agency, the event is titled 'Made in the Arab World: Arab Identity, Global Impact' and expects to convene over 200 Arab youth ministers, community leaders, and representatives from Arab development organizations. A select group of young leaders from various specialized fields across Arab countries will also be in attendance.
H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the Arab Meeting for Young Leaders as a critical platform for showcasing the role of youth in advancing development and creating solutions to challenges facing Arab societies. He stressed the importance of empowering young people to actively contribute to a brighter future for their communities and nations.
Sheikh Theyab welcomed the participation of youth and leaders of youth organizations who will gather in the UAE for the meeting. He acknowledged their efforts in promoting pan-Arab youth collaboration and advancing outcomes focused on capacity building, youth empowerment, talent discovery, and support for creative individuals.
Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Vice Chairman of the AYC, highlighted the commitment to empowering youth across the region in 2025. Building on previous meetings' successes, the event aims to generate ideas for creating youth opportunities in both private and public sectors, fostering a vibrant social economy through collaborative initiatives.
Al Neyadi mentioned that the meeting would feature a ministerial discussion panel with institutional leaders and young influencers from various fields. Experts will discuss national industry promotion, Arab government initiatives for youth empowerment in the private sector, and the role of international organizations in job training within the Arab region. The meeting will also reveal findings from reports on Arab youth's potential and competitiveness in the job market.
The Arab Meeting for Young Leaders serves as a collaborative platform for entities focused on empowering Arab youth through diverse developmental pathways. It highlights best practices and innovative ideas while acting as a launchpad for regional initiatives aimed at building capacity, skill development, and creating enabling environments.
