A workshop on the implementation of the matrix of the President of the Supreme Political Council on the local development process and priorities of local authority plans and projects was held on Sunday in the Capital Secretariat.
In the workshop, the Mayor of the capital, Hammoud Obbad, pointed out the importance of the matrix, which focused on many important axes related to providing local development requirements and improving and providing services to citizens, especially in the areas of roads, water, hygiene, and others.
He stressed the importance of implementing the guidelines matrix and focusing on priorities in implementing the projects and plans of the local authority at the level of all directorates, developing performance and building the capabilities of the cadres and leaders of the executive and service offices and districts in various aspects.
Obbad urged everyone to redouble efforts, implement the matrix of directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council, set priorities for service projects and provide them, activate the role of community initiatives in various fields, and pay attention to improving the general appearance, street maintenance, flood damage, and maintaining the service infrastructure of the capital.
The Mayor of the capital referred to the mobilization of all available energies and capabilities, the integration of roles, the need for everyone to move and a sense of responsibility to ensure the success and completion of development and service plans and programs in the capital's secretariat and at the districts level.
During the workshop, in the presence of the Chairman of the Planning and Financial Development Committee, Sharaf al-Hadi, and the Undersecretary of the Administrative Units Sector, Ali al-Qafri, the Assistant Undersecretary for the Administrative Units Sector, Sami Sharaf al-Din, stressed the importance of the workshop to translate the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council to develop performance, promote local development, provide services to citizens and alleviate their suffering.
He pointed to the importance of submitting a business plan on a monthly basis in light of the general plan, as well as performance and achievement reports according to the models specified in the workshop, improving and developing revenues, activating public service and complaints, raising community awareness of cleanliness and encouraging community initiatives to contribute to filling excavations in neighborhoods.
A number of local leaders, executive and service offices, directorates and administrative units in the capital's capital city participated in the workshop.
