World Health Day, an occasion to highlight groundbreaking achievements of UAE health sector: Mohammad Al Olama

Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, has said that the UAE’s celebration of World Health Day is part of its commitment to enhancing joint efforts toward building healthier societies and implementing a holistic and effective healthcare system to advance the health of people.

This stems from the firm belief of the UAE’s wise leadership in the value of human beings, as the most precious wealth and the backbone of development, he added.

Al Olama mentioned that the UAE leadership has paid utmost attention to the health and safety of the people, by lending unyielding support to the healthcare sector.

By virtue of this, our health system has demonstrated proven leadership, excellence, and efficiency in delivering outstanding services and making groundbreaking achievements.

“This year’s theme of World Health Day is ‘Our Planet, Our Health’, with the aim to boost global cooperation to conserve the environment for people’s health,” noted Al Olama. “The UAE has always emphasised the importance of this goal by launching local and international initiatives to help protect the earth and keep it healthy for generations to come.”

In addition to its role in raising community awareness of maintaining a healthy environment, Al Olama underlined that the ministry plays an effective part in supporting the UAE government’s efforts to provide a healthy environment, through its strenuous endeavors to achieve comprehensive sustainability in its digital services, in a way that would allow the ongoing renewal of resources.
