Abu dhabi: Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, has officially unveiled its newest expansion today, introducing an extensive collection of 11 new slides and attractions that enhance the park's offerings for visitors of all ages.

According to Emirates News Agency, the expansion builds on the park's 'Lost City' theme, extending The Legend of The Lost Pearl. The new additions feature eight new slides, two jumping platforms, and a lounging pool, inviting guests to engage in a variety of experiences from thrilling adventures to serene relaxation. The expansion further strengthens Yas Waterworld's position as a leading waterpark in the region, now boasting over 70 rides, slides, and attractions.

Rayan Al Haddar, General Manager at Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, expressed that the opening of this expansion marks a significant milestone in the park's aim to redefine water-based entertainment in the region. He emphasized the park's commitment to enhancing the guest experience through innovative and immersive attractions, inviting guests to create lasting memories with their families.

Highlights of the expansion include Matamir's Drop, the UAE's tallest waterslide, offering a plunge from over 40 metres high, and Sahel Matamir, providing a high-speed racing experience. Matamir Loop and Matamir Twist - Matamir Lights offer rapid and visually enhanced ride experiences. For competitive fun, Matamir Splash introduces the park's first duelling mat racer. Additionally, Sarab leisure pool and Al Afda jump platform cater to those seeking relaxation and excitement, respectively.

Yas Waterworld's expansion represents a blend of innovation and adventure, aiming to deliver unforgettable moments for guests. Since its opening in 2013, the park has received over 65 prestigious industry awards and continues to be celebrated as the 'Middle East's Leading Water Park'.
