Yemeni Scholars Association condemns assassination of Haniyeh

The Yemeni Scholars Association has condemned the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, describing it as a treacherous act and an attack on the sovereignty of an Islamic state.

In a statement, the association praised Haniyeh’s jihadist history and struggle, emphasizing that his legacy serves as a model for those committed to liberating al-Quds and opposing the Israeli state. They expressed condolences and solidarity over his death, attributing it to an Israeli air raid in Tehran.

The statement asserted that such assassinations, including those of previous leaders of the jihad and resistance axis, will only bolster their resolve and commitment to the cause.

It highlighted the sacrifices made by Hamas and other resistance leaders as a testament to their loyalty to the Palestinian cause, contrasting them with those who only feign support.

The association stressed the right to retaliate and called for vigilance and preparedness among the jihad and resistance lead
ers. It urged the Islamic Republic of Iran, whose sovereignty was violated, to respond appropriately.

The statement also called for unified action and readiness from all support fronts for Gaza, condemning the recent actions of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and urging a cohesive and strong response from the axis of jihad and resistance.
