The Yemeni Media Union condemned in the strongest terms the Zionist entity’s targeting of the crew of Al-Jazeera channel, fellow reporter Ismail Al-Ghoul and cameraman Rami Al-Rifi in an air strike directly, while performing their work in Al-Shati camp in Gaza City, which led to their martyrdom.
In a statement received by Saba, the Union expressed its condolences to the family of the two colleagues and Al-Jazeera, considering this targeting a war crime in every sense of the word, and an extension of dozens of crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against media professionals, journalists and reporters in the Gaza Strip since the start of the aggression on the Strip.
It called on all media professionals, journalists, freelancers and media, human rights and legal institutions in various countries of the world to condemn this crime and all crimes that affected media professionals and journalists in the Gaza Strip.
It also called for exposing the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against the children and wo
men of Gaza under a blatant American cover, as well as the crimes it commits by targeting homes, residential neighborhoods, hospitals, schools and media and service institutions that are considered civilian objects in accordance with international laws and conventions, which consider targeting them a war crime that does not fall under the statute of limitations.
