Zayed Higher Organisation, Egypt’s Youth Ministry launch 2nd phase of ‘Jusoor Amal Holding’

The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO), in collaboration with Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and supported by ADQ, has launched the second phase of the “Jusoor Amal Holding” programme to empower People of Determination across Egypt.

The programme provides comprehensive, free services, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for participants and promoting their integration into international events, contributing to both social and economic well-being.

A key element of the second phase is intervention programmes for early childhood to reduce the impact of disabilities, improve long-term well-being, and improve cognitive, linguistic, and motor skills, leveraging critical developmental periods to ensure long-term success.

The initiative also provides specialised support for children with autism, speech disorders, hyperactivity, attention disorders, and learning difficulties, along with psychological and social assistance for families.

This initiative falls under a broader coop
eration agreement between ZHO and Egypt’s Youth Ministry, which includes equipping 60 speech therapy centres with internet access and deploying mobile medical units to assist People of Determination and their families across the country.

Abdullah Al Humaidan, General-Secretary of ZHO?, emphasised the importance of the UAE-Egypt partnership in advancing inclusion and equal opportunities for people of determination. “We are working with our Egyptian partners to create sustainable environments that empower individuals to pursue their aspirations and improve their quality of life. This programme reflects a shared vision of sustainable development and ensures meaningful participation in society,” he said.

Al Humaidan also highlighted ADQ’s sponsorship as a testament to its commitment to human development, expressing pride in partnering with Egypt’s Youth Ministry and other stakeholders to drive positive change.

Alongside the rollout of these initiatives, ZHO is conducting a training programme for 300 specialist
s across the new speech therapy centres. Led by ZHO experts, the programme offers three workshops.

A ZHO delegation will visit Egypt in November to monitor progress and assess the new centres.

By 2025, the Jusoor Amal Holding programme aims to equip 128 speech therapy centres across 27 Egyptian provinces. So far, 78 centres have been launched with state-of-the-art equipment and specialised staff to provide speech therapy, behavioural modification, sensory integration, psychological assessments, and skill development.

Thirty more centres will be completed by the end of 2024, with the final 30 set to open in 2025 in phases of ten centres each.
