Two people were killed and another was injured in an "emergency incident" on Crimea Bridge early on Monday morning.

A man and a woman from Russias borderline Belgorod Region were killed in the incident, with their daughter being injured, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said, according to Russian news agency (TASS).

Earlier, Crimea Governor Sergey Aksyonov said that traffic across the bridge has been suspended.

There were no official information about the cause of the incident. The Russian Transport Ministry said the roadway had been damaged but it did not confirm reports saying that any bridge span has been damaged.
