Abu dhabi: Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the UAE Media Council, visited the UAE Cybersecurity Council’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. He was received by Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Government Cybersecurity Council, to discuss enhancing cooperation among the Cybersecurity Council, the National Media Office, and the UAE Media Council to support national efforts in establishing a secure digital ecosystem.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting also involved Dr. Jamal Al Kaabi, Director-General of the National Media Office, and focused on the ongoing cooperation between government entities and the Cybersecurity Council. This collaboration is aimed at protecting society from digital threats and supporting the UAE’s digital development. Dr. Al Kuwaiti expressed his pleasure at Al Hamed’s visit, acknowledging his interest in understanding the Council’s cybersecurity initiatives.
During the meeting, Dr. Al Kuwaiti outlined the Council’s efforts in promoting a cybersecurity culture through awareness programs. These initiatives are designed to build a safe digital environment that aligns with the UAE’s digital transformation goals. Al Hamed was informed about the Council’s achievements in protecting digital infrastructure and its initiatives to enhance digital trust.
Al Hamed highlighted the UAE’s rapid progress in cybersecurity, attributing it to the nation’s leadership, which prioritizes a secure digital society.
