Sharjah: Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Founder and CEO of Kalimat Group and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Education and Book Culture, has launched her new book, “Let Them Know She Is Here: Searching for the Queen of Mleiha,” at the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2025). The book is published by Rewayat, the literary imprint of Kalimat Group.

According to Emirates News Agency, the book’s foreword, written by Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, describes it as a blend of memory and myth, reflecting her connection to her ancestral roots. The narrative is split into two parts: the first part explores her perspectives on life, land, and self-exploration, while the second part presents scientific research on matriarchal kingdoms in the Arabian Peninsula, with a focus on Mleiha.

The book examines archaeological findings and artifacts, such as the Abiel coins, which imply the existence of a dynasty of Arab queens. It documents Sheikha Bodour’s journey to understand her cultural identity through travel and archaeology, highlighting the history and cultural heritage of Mleiha.

Through her work, Sheikha Bodour aims to illuminate the significant roles Arab women played in early history, featuring notable queens like Queen Zenobia, the Queen of Sheba, the Moon Queens of Saba, and Queen Shams. The book proposes a cartographic map detailing the distribution of these Arab queens and the kingdoms they led throughout the Arabian Peninsula, urging readers to view Arab history from a fresh perspective.
