Abu Dhabi International Compak Sporting Championship to Take Place in Al Ain Region

Al ain: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, the Abu Dhabi International Compak Sporting Championship is set to take place from 1st to 4th December 2025 at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club.

According to Emirates News Agency, the event is organized by the Weapons and Hazardous Substances Office of the Supreme Council for National Security, in collaboration with the UAE Shooting Federation and the F©d©ration Internationale de Tir aux Armes Sportives de Chasse (FITASC). This championship will attract top shooters globally, offering valuable prize money.

The Weapons and Hazardous Substances Office and FITASC have formalized an agreement to enhance their partnership, ensuring the championship is executed to the highest international standards. This agreement was signed in the presence of key figures including Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Hasher Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Shooting Federation; Mohammed Suhail Al Neyadi, Director-General of the Weapons and Hazardous Substances Office; and Jean Fran§ois Palinkas, President of FITASC.

Both organizations emphasized the significance of their collaboration in promoting shooting sports and elevating the UAE’s prominence on the international sports stage. They acknowledged that the championship is a crucial event on FITASC’s global calendar, underscoring the UAE’s increasing renown for hosting significant sporting events.

Besides the competition, the championship provides a platform for nurturing new talent, bolstering the UAE’s leadership in the sport. It also highlights the country’s rich heritage in hunting and defense, showcasing shooting as an integral part of Emirati culture.

The event’s location in the Al Ain Region supports the city’s evolution as a prominent sports and tourism hub, enhancing the diversity of the UAE’s sporting offerings.
