Kinshasa: The Democratic Republic of Congo announced late on Sunday that the number of confirmed Ebola cases in the country has increased to 1,003, including 254 deaths. This marks a significant rise from the previous figures reported by the government.

According to Emirates News Agency, an update provided by the government on Saturday had placed the number of confirmed cases at 956, with 247 deaths. The recent figures indicate a concerning escalation in the spread of the Ebola virus within the region.
