Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has reiterated that June 30 is the final deadline for private sector companies with 50 or more employees to meet their Emiratisation targets for the first half of 2026. Under the UAE's Emiratisation programme, these companies are obligated to increase the number of Emiratis in skilled jobs by 2 percent annually, with half of this increase required by the mid-year mark.
According to Emirates News Agency, MoHRE urged targeted companies to leverage the Nafis platform, which provides access to a broad pool of qualified Emirati job seekers in various specialisations. Emiratisation policies are pivotal for the UAE's economic objectives and future strategies, and MoHRE emphasized that these policies will persist as a national priority.
The ministry highlighted the importance of collaboration with the private sector, which plays a crucial role in advancing Emiratisation policies. This collaboration enhances competitiveness and sustainable growth while encouraging Emirati citizens to engage actively in the labour market. MoHRE expressed confidence in the ability of companies to fulfill their commitments amid the UAE's ongoing economic growth.
Companies that excel in meeting Emiratisation targets will continue to enjoy incentives such as membership in the Emiratisation Partners Club, offering discounts of up to 80 percent on MoHRE service fees and priority access to government procurement opportunities. Conversely, non-compliant companies will face financial contributions starting July 1, 2026, amounting to AED10,000 monthly for each unfilled position.
The ministry issued a warning against manipulation of Emiratisation targets and 'Fake Emiratisation' schemes, which are considered serious violations. MoHRE's advanced digital and field inspection system will detect any transgressions, which will be addressed strictly in accordance with the law. The public is encouraged to report violations through the ministry's call center, mobile application, or website.
