DoE and ADAFSA Forge Partnership for Enhanced Data Sharing on Agriculture Platform

Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE) and the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) have entered into a Service Level Agreement (SLA) to collaborate and share data for the Agriculture and Food Security Data Platform in the emirate.

According to Emirates News Agency, the signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jawan, Chairman of the DoE. The agreement was signed by Engineer Ahmed Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Undersecretary of the DoE, and Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Ameri, Acting Director-General of ADAFSA. Al Rumaithi emphasized the importance of this collaboration in creating a strong data ecosystem that will support future policies in energy and agriculture, while also utilizing artificial intelligence to anticipate future developments and achieve sustainability.

Al Ameri highlighted that the partnership aligns with Abu Dhabi's vision of establishing a sustainable and resilient food system to tackle future challenges and enhance food security in the emirate. He mentioned that the agreement aims to enhance strategic cooperation, particularly in artificial intelligence and analytics, recognizing the critical role of integrated data in decision-making and advancing food security and agricultural sustainability.

Al Ameri further noted that the platform developed by the authority is central to this partnership, providing accurate and comprehensive data for analyzing challenges and formulating innovative solutions. The platform also aims to enhance transparency and operational efficiency, thereby improving the quality of policies and services offered to farmers and investors in the agricultural sector.
