Dubai Chambers Establishes Executive Committee for Agentic AI Initiative

Dubai: Dubai Chambers has announced the establishment of the Executive Committee for Agentic AI, following the recent launch of an initiative by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The initiative aims to transition Dubai's private sector towards Agentic AI.

According to Emirates News Agency, the committee convened its first meeting online, chaired by Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers and the executive committee. The meeting was attended by Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, who is also the Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and Vice Chairman of the executive committee.

Eng. Al Mansoori emphasized the commitment to strengthening Dubai's global leadership and enhancing the competitiveness of the private sector. The transition towards Agentic AI is seen as a proactive approach by Dubai to adopt advanced technologies that support a resilient, sustainable, and innovative economy. The program aims to enable companies to benefit from smart solutions, enhance operational and administrative capabilities, boost productivity, and unlock new growth opportunities in future-facing economic sectors.

Eng. Al Mansoori also highlighted the efforts to build an integrated framework supporting the initiative's implementation. This includes specialized training tracks for Business Councils and Business Groups under Dubai Chamber of Commerce, incubators for Agentic AI companies, and collaboration with public and private sector partners to accelerate digital transformation across key economic sectors and the business community in Dubai.

Al Olama reiterated Dubai's commitment to strengthening its position as a global hub for future technologies, under the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He emphasized the focus on building a new ecosystem powered by Agentic AI, reflecting a forward-looking approach to reimagining government operations and anticipating future shifts.

Al Olama noted that the transformation is a significant step towards building a knowledge and technology-driven digital economy. It aims to foster an intelligent, enabling environment that enhances efficiency, accelerates innovation, and supports the development of advanced AI solutions and more agile, sustainable operating models. This initiative is expected to strengthen the private sector's ability to harness emerging technologies, support startup growth, and cement Dubai's role as a global hub for developing and exporting next-generation digital technologies and solutions.

The committee will oversee the plan for specialized training tracks in Agentic AI for Business Groups and Business Councils under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce as part of the two-year transformation plan. It will also design and establish incubators for Agentic AI companies supporting the transformation in Dubai and aid the development of companies specializing in Agentic AI solutions.

Additionally, the committee will establish dedicated support funds to assist selected companies in their transition towards Agentic AI and promote knowledge sharing and capacity building in the field of Agentic AI within Dubai Chambers.
