Dubai:Dubai CommerCity: Dubai CommerCity (DCC) is set to launch a significant expansion with investments exceeding AED1.8 billion, aimed at bolstering the digital economy and future commerce. This expansion is planned for delivery between the first quarter of 2027 and the fourth quarter of 2028.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), emphasized that Phase Two of Dubai CommerCity's expansion comes as Dubai continues to grow despite global economic challenges. This initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, positioning the emirate as a global hub for digital commerce and technology.

The expansion is a response to high demand, with current occupancy at nearly 96% across office, logistics, and retail spaces. The new phase will introduce projects in the Business Cluster, Logistics Cluster, and Social Cluster, adding over 91,000 square meters of office space. The Business Cluster will offer various office options, while the Social Cluster will cater to retail and lifestyle needs. The Logistics Cluster will feature 'The Hive,' a new facility designed for efficiency and sustainability.

Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of DIEZ, highlighted that the expansion will strengthen Dubai's global position in digital commerce and technology, reflecting its commitment to strategic economic development. Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim of Wasl Group noted the project's role in supporting Dubai's long-term economic ambitions and enhancing the region's business environment.

Increased e-commerce activity and cargo volume underscore the need for this expansion, which aims to create a more efficient and flexible operating environment for businesses.
