Egypt and Qatar Reaffirm Commitment to Mediation Efforts in Gaza

Cairo: The Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Qatar have reaffirmed that their mediation efforts in the Gaza Strip remain ongoing, consistent, and grounded in a unified vision aimed at ending the unprecedented humanitarian crisis and alleviating the suffering of civilians by fostering the necessary conditions for achieving a comprehensive ceasefire.

According to Emirates News Agency, in a joint statement, Egypt and Qatar asserted that attempts to sow discord among brotherly nations – whether through the casting of doubt, distortion, or media escalation – will not succeed, nor will they deter the two nations from continuing their joint efforts to end the war and the resulting humanitarian catastrophe.

Qatar and Egypt reiterated that they will not be drawn into any internal dynamics or secondary agendas that do not serve the interests of the Palestinian people. Both countries reaffirm their unwavering commitment to a clear framework focused on alleviating suffering, promoting de-escalation, and working toward a lasting resolution.

The two countries further affirmed that they are closely coordinating with the United States to reach an agreement that will bring an end to the humanitarian tragedy and ensure the protection of civilians.
