EPI Receives Accreditation from Emirates International Accreditation Centre

Abu Dhabi: EPI, an entity of EDGE Group and a significant player in the UAE's aerospace, oil and gas, and defence sectors, has achieved a milestone by becoming the first company in the UAE to receive the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for its calibration laboratory. This recognition was granted by the Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC).

According to Emirates News Agency, this accreditation solidifies EPI's status as a national leader in quality and precision, ensuring its calibration laboratory adheres to the highest international standards for technical competence, impartiality, and reliability. The accreditation was presented to Michael Deshaies, CEO of EPI, by Khawla Mohamed Alzarooni, Head of Calibration Laboratory Accreditation Section at EIAC, during the 'Make it in the Emirates' forum held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

In attendance at the accreditation ceremony were notable figures including Ahmed Al Khoori, EDGE Senior Vice President of Strategy and Excellence; Hussam Haboush, Business Development Director at EPI; Saeed Salem Al Kaabi, Government Relations and General Service Manager at EPI; and Muhammad Waqas, SHEQ Manager at EPI. Deshaies expressed that this accreditation highlights EPI's commitment to high standards in precision and dependability, emphasizing the company's investment in advanced technologies and skilled personnel.

EIAC operates under the Dubai Executive Council and is recognized internationally for providing accreditation services to various conformity assessment bodies.
