Abu dhabi: Dr Corinne Borel, Head of the Research and Innovation Strategy Department at the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, emphasized the significance of the France-UAE forum for Research and Innovation, illustrating the strong partnership between the two nations, especially in the fields of higher education, scientific research, and innovation. She underscored Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi as a prime example of successful bilateral academic collaboration.
According to Emirates News Agency, Dr Borel expressed her satisfaction in participating in the forum, held at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, and commended the UAE's initiatives to create a conducive environment for innovation. She acknowledged the efforts of UAE academic and research institutions in promoting a knowledge-based economy, highlighting that the forum is a testament to the mutual dedication to turning scientific cooperation into impactful research projects with economic and societal benefits.
Dr Borel pointed out that the scientific collaboration between the UAE and France has a history spanning over five decades, covering areas such as education, space, advanced technology, and artificial intelligence. She noted that this collaboration is experiencing renewed vigor in alignment with the strategic priorities of both nations.
