GDRFA Dubai Unveils Second Edition of Scientific Research Award

Abu dhabi: The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) announced the launch of the second edition of the 'GDRFA Dubai Scientific Research Award'. This initiative serves as a future-focused knowledge platform aimed at bringing together researchers, innovators, and future-makers to leverage knowledge and scientific research for developing innovative solutions that enhance the efficiency of government services and sustain institutional excellence.

According to Emirates News Agency, the award aligns with the vision of the UAE's leadership to position Dubai as the world's most future-ready city. It reflects GDRFA Dubai's commitment to fostering a culture of scientific research and innovation, empowering creative minds to transform ideas into practical solutions capable of advancing government systems and anticipating future needs.

The award aims to create an enabling environment for researchers and innovators by supporting scientific research and applied projects. These projects are intended to deliver impactful and sustainable solutions, enhance institutional performance, improve service quality, and reinforce Dubai and the UAE's position as a global hub for research, innovation, and future-driven solutions.

The award includes three categories: the Digital Innovation Award, focusing on artificial intelligence and smart systems; the Leadership Research and Knowledge Management Award, targeting future-oriented leadership and continuous learning; and the GDRFA Dubai Services Award, supporting projects aimed at improving customer experience and service efficiency. These categories collectively contribute to developing innovative solutions and shaping the future of government services.

To uphold the highest standards of efficiency and integrity, the award's digital platform is powered by Agentic AI, supporting submission management and verifying compliance with approved criteria. This enhances the efficiency of evaluation processes and the quality of outcomes.

Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, commented that the award strengthens the knowledge and innovation ecosystem, reinforcing the belief that applied scientific research is crucial for government development and creating future-focused solutions with sustainable impact.
