Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Family, in collaboration with the New Media Academy, the first academy of its kind in the Middle East dedicated to digital media innovation, has launched the 'Family Content Creators' Programme. This initiative aims to empower participants to create purposeful, sustainable digital content that strengthens family cohesion, promotes positive societal values, and nurtures future generations on principles of harmony, compassion, and shared humanitarian values.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, Minister of Family, emphasized the importance of investing in family stability and cohesion as a fundamental element for the nation's future. She noted the growing influence of digital platforms and the need to empower content creators with the requisite knowledge and skills to deliver positive digital content that supports families, enhances quality of life, and reinforces society's authentic values.
The 'Family Content Creators' Programme is part of the Ministry's strategic commitment to fostering impactful partnerships that invest in people. It aims to nurture a new generation of influencers capable of producing professional, responsible content addressing family-related issues with awareness and purpose. The programme seeks to foster a culture of constructive dialogue, reinforce family cohesion and positive parenting, and contribute to shaping a safer and more responsible digital environment for future generations.
The programme features a comprehensive training curriculum with two core tracks, designed in line with professional training and digital identity development standards. The first track is a four-week intensive training programme, with 62 participants selected from over 500 applications. Participants will engage in practical workshops covering values-based family and social knowledge and the skills required to produce high-quality digital content. The curriculum spans the entire content creation journey, from scriptwriting and storytelling to photography, editing, publishing strategies, platform management, and data analysis.
Upon completing the training phase, 13 outstanding participants will advance to the second track, a seven-month incubation programme. The New Media Academy team will provide tailored one-to-one mentorship to help participants develop a distinctive digital identity and build a comprehensive content strategy. The incubation programme will also offer direct support for content production, creative direction, and professional publishing.
The programme reflects the UAE's vision of strengthening the family's role as the cornerstone of a cohesive and stable society. It aligns with the nation's strategic direction to lead a purposeful digital ecosystem serving social and developmental priorities. The programme adopts an inclusive approach to participant selection, bringing together a diverse spectrum of community talent to enrich the content quality. Target groups include content creators from beginners to advanced practitioners interested in family and community affairs, mothers and fathers creating broad-based content, and young people developing content for their generation.
The programme is also open to professionals supporting families, including specialists in the care of People of Determination and senior citizens, paediatricians, social workers, teachers, lawyers specialising in family matters, media professionals, and specialists focused on government initiatives and achievements, such as housing programmes and social benefits enhancing citizens' quality of life.
