Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, met with Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, at Za’abeel Palace in Dubai. The meeting was attended by key UAE dignitaries, including H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions focused on strengthening the bilateral relations between the UAE and Pakistan. Both leaders explored avenues for enhancing cooperation across various sectors to serve the mutual interests of their countries and promote global stability. The meeting also addressed regional and international issues, emphasizing a commitment to support security and sustainable development.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed reiterated the UAE’s dedication to deepening its strategic partnership with Pakistan. The meeting highlighted the historical ties between the two nations and the UAE’s vision of fostering global cooperation. President Zardari acknowledged the strategic importance of the relationship, applauding Sheikh Mohammed’s efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation, especially in economic and developmental areas.
Several other notable figures attended the meeting, including H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee. The Pakistani delegation included First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party.
In addition to the bilateral meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed engaged with dignitaries, business leaders, and senior government officials to discuss improving the business environment and advancing the UAE’s vision for a sustainable future. He also met with top-performing graduates from the Zayed II Military College and the Dubai Police Academy, commending their achievements and emphasizing the importance of investing in national talent.
