Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today received Maria Camilleri Calleja, the outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to the UAE, at his palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City. The meeting was part of a courtesy visit marking the conclusion of her diplomatic assignment in the country.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Saud emphasized the strong bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Malta. He reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthen and develop these ties in ways that benefit mutual interests and enhance prosperity for the peoples of both nations.

During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Saud acknowledged the ambassador's contributions to enhancing cooperation between the UAE and Malta across various sectors. He extended his best wishes for her future endeavors.

Maria Camilleri Calleja expressed her heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah for the warm hospitality and gracious reception. She lauded the UAE's significant regional and international standing and acknowledged the cooperation and support she received during her tenure.
