Russia: Russia has proposed that BRICS member states expand cooperation in civil drone technologies, including joint development, manufacturing, and implementation of autonomous solutions across various economic sectors, said Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Alexey.

According to Emirates News Agency, Deputy Minister Alexey Gruzdev highlighted the increasing integration of drone technologies into daily life, with applications in logistics, aviation, forestry, wildfire monitoring, environmental protection, and agriculture. Following the BRICS ministerial meeting in Jaipur, Gruzdev conveyed Russia's proposal to offer partner nations comprehensive technological ecosystems, which extend beyond standalone unmanned platforms.

The Deputy Minister elaborated that drones encompass more than just hardware, including software, algorithms, control systems, and related services. He noted the potential for collaboration in drone manufacturing, joint technology research and development, and the commercial promotion of these services. Gruzdev emphasised Russia's readiness to share its operational expertise in deploying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) across different industries, leveraging its extensive track record in developing and integrating drone technologies into various industrial workflows.

The initiative has been extended to all BRICS member states. Gruzdev stated that cooperation is being offered to the entire BRICS bloc, with ongoing efforts at the expert level to outline specific areas of interaction. He mentioned that the interest in this collaboration is shared not only by India but also by other member states, such as Ethiopia.
