Two Killed, Thousands Evacuated After Southwest China Earthquake

Liuzhou: A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck China's southwestern Guangxi region early Monday, resulting in two fatalities and the evacuation of more than 7,000 residents in the city of Liuzhou. Search and rescue operations are ongoing as authorities caution about potential transport disruptions.

According to Emirates News Agency, authorities have confirmed two deaths, with one person still reported missing. Four individuals were transported to the hospital, though none have sustained life-threatening injuries. Railway authorities have issued warnings of possible transport disruptions as inspections of rail infrastructure continue.
