UAE Golf Teams Set to Compete in Cairo for Arab Golf Championship

Cairo:The UAE National Golf teams are departing for Cairo, Egypt, to participate in the Arab Golf Championship for Youth, Juniors, U13s, and Girls, scheduled from October 6 to 11, 2026.

According to Emirates News Agency, the championship will gather national teams from across the Arab world, with events hosted at Madinaty Golf Club and Mirage Golf Club.

The UAE delegation is led by Major General Pilot (Ret.) Abdullah Al Sayed Al Hashemi, President of the Emirates Golf Federation, accompanied by Khalid Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Federation, and national team coach Faycal Serghini.

The UAE will compete in several divisions, including Youth, Junior, U13, and Girls. The Girls' U21 team will include Sara Ali and Aassiya Saleem, while the U13 team will feature Zayed Ali, Zayed Al Mazmi, and Saif Lootah.

In the individual competitions, Neyl Cherrat will represent the UAE in the U21 category, and Mohammed Thabet will participate in the Boys' U18 category.

The championship offers UAE players a chance to compete for top positions in both team and individual events, despite some players being unavailable due to academic and personal commitments.

This participation underscores the Emirates Golf Federation's dedication to maintaining a strong presence at regional and international competitions, providing emerging Emirati golfers opportunities to compete against some of the region's leading young talents.
