Vigil at Local Administration Ministry condemning burning Qur’an and Zionist aggression against Jenin

The Ministry of Local Administration organized today a vigil to denounce the Swedish authorities' allowing extremists to burn copies of Holy Qur'an, as well as the Zionist aggression on Jenin.

The participants in the vigil, in which the undersecretaries, general managers and employees participated, confirmed that the burning of copies of the Noble Qur’an, with the support and blessing of the Swedish government, indicates the continued hostility of those governments to Islamic religious sanctities and symbols, considering the Zionist aggression on the Jenin camp as a continuation of the enemy’s crimes and violations against the Palestinians.

A statement issued by the vigil, read by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Local Development Sector, Ammar Al-Harib, confirmed the condemnation and denunciation of the leadership and employees of the ministry and the local authority agencies in the municipality and the provinces for burning the Qur’an crime , and considered it a provocation to the feelings of two billion Muslims in the world, and a flagrant violation of all international conventions, norms and human rights principles that criminalize infringement of symbols. And religious sanctities for all peoples of the world.

The statement condemned the Zionist aggression against Jenin camp ,all the crimes and violations against the struggling Palestinian people.

The statement praised the position of the National Salvation Government and the decision of the Standards Authority regarding boycotting all Swedish goods and products, calling on the local authority bodies in the capital’s secretariat, provinces and districts to continue the sit-ins and marches condemning the Zionist aggression on the Jenin camp, and burning Holy Qur’an crime.

The statement also called on all Arab and Islamic countries to take effective measures to deter Israeli practices against the Palestinians and all crimes that offend Islam and Islamic sanctities, foremost of which is the economic and political boycott of countries that allow these crimes to be committed.

The statement held the Swedish authorities responsible for the repeated insult to Islamic sanctities, foremost of which is Holy Qur'an, calling on the United Nations and its organizations to take deterrent measures against the Zionist enemy and hold it accountable for the crimes it commits.
