Ministry of Local Administration meeting to discuss aspects of implementation of road projects in provinces

An expanded meeting was held on Monday in Sana'a, involving the Ministers of Local Administration, Ali Ben Ali Al-Qaysi, Public Works and Roads, Ghalib Mutlaq, Ministry of Transport Abdulwahab Al-Durra, Deputy Minister of Local Administration, Dr. Kassim Al-Homran, and Al-Mahwat Governor Hanin Qatina.

During the meeting, aspects related to the implementation of road projects in various provinces were discussed, in accordance with the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council, His Excellency Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat.

At the meeting, the Minister of Local Administration explained that approximately 16 billion riyals had been allocated under the matrix of the 1445 AH plan for road and maintenance projects in various governorates.

He stressed the interest of the Ministry and local authorities in road construction and maintenance projects, which were important in alleviating citizens' suffering in the context of aggression and its catastrophic consequences for various service sectors.

For his part, the Minister of Works addressed the Ministry's efforts and its affiliates to implement and maintain road projects.

He stressed that the Ministry operates in accordance with the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council in the field of roads, public works and other tasks entrusted to it. Noting the importance of coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Works and local authorities in the public interest.

The Minister of Transport noted the aspects related to the implementation of its climate tunnel project, which reduces eight kilometres from the Sana'a Hodeidah road, and provides much effort in the transport process. Highlighting the efforts of the Ministries of Works and Transport in preparing studies and designs for the project.
