Petropavlovsk-kamchatsky: An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale struck off the eastern coast of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula on Thursday.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported that the earthquake’s epicenter was at a depth of 66.8 km and occurred 276 km from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
On 30th July, the region experienced its strongest earthquake in the entire monitoring period, with a magnitude of 8.8 on the Richter scale, off the coast of Kamchatka.
