The Mohamed Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations (MBZMFG) and the Education Affairs Office and Strategy Directives launched Maharatkom Programme, to empower 100 MBZMFG “Future Makers” with essential skills for the workplace of the future.
The Education Affairs Office launched the MBZMFG, the home to the community of Future Makers presents an interactive platform and a series of activations for university students to engage in constructive dialogue to enhance their skills, empower them, and engage them to shape a better future.
It collaborates with Strategy Directives, an EdTech consultancy and the founders of “Maharatkom” psychometric assessments for high school students, job seekers and midlevel and senior employees.
The collaboration aims to empower and equip “Future Makers” with 21st century skills increasingly in demand in today’s workplace.
Through Strategy Directives, strategic partnerships with Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platforms such as Edraak and others, “Future Makers” will have the opportunity to be well equipped with in-demand skills for the workplace and become an essential part of the UAE’s “Principles of the 50”.
This is achieved by assessing the candidate’s key behavioural skills and personality traits using the “Maharatkom” solution, which is a psychometric assessment in the form of a web-based interactive assessment that uses artificial intelligence and gamification.
The reports resulting from Maharatkom are mapped to courses and specialisations available on the MOOC platforms for the immediate upskilling of the required skills.
AlAnood Al Kaabi, Education Programmes Manager at the Education Affairs Office at the Crown Prince Court Abu Dhabi, said, “One of the MBZMFG’s main priorities for this year is to better prepare the youth for the next 50 years through various activations that offer opportunities to enhance their skills, self-development and growth and create a platform for them to achieve impact and ever-lasting change across all sectors because ultimately – our youth are our future.”
Khairy Abuljebain, Managing Director of Strategy Directives said, “We look forward to this collaboration to assess and equip “Future Makers” with the required 21st-century skills that include communicative, innovative, analytical, and organisational skills which align with the initiatives that strive to fulfil the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to empower younger generations and engage them to determine trends and build a better future.”
Launched in 2017, the Mohamed bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations connects Emirati youth with the leaders to shape a better future for the UAE. It provides transformative learning experiences for the next generation of leaders to engage with pioneering thinkers, sharpen their skills and adapt their professional development.
Transformed into a Virtual Forum in 2021, the MBZMFG approaches the challenges of a rapidly evolving global context with optimism under the theme of Thriving in the Next Normal.
The programme finds inspiration in the values of the nation’s Golden Jubilee, is powered by forward-thinking ideas and a network of extraordinary partners.
