A member of the Judicial Inspection in the Public Prosecution, Judge Ibrahim Aqabat, and the Head of the Taiz Governorate Appeals Prosecution, Judge Abdul Raqib Al-Majidi, were briefed on Monday on the seizure procedures and the collection of evidence in the Khadir District Security Department.
Aqabat and Al-Majeedi, along with the Deputy Prosecutor of Dimnat Khadir district, Judge Ali Naji, and a member of the Prosecution, Judge Zakaria Al-Junaid, were also briefed on the conditions of prisoners, who are under investigation and sentenced to negative penalties and special rights in the pretrial prison of the directorate’s security department.
They listened to the director of the Khadir Security Department, Colonel Essam Sabr, explain the procedures for seizure and detention in criminal cases, and the accommodation and care for prisoners.
The Chief Prosecutor directed the release of several sentenced prisoners who meet the conditions for conditional release by three-quarters of the sentence, do not have spe
cial rights for others, and do not have precedents and owners of serious cases, as well as a guarantee for detainees under investigation.
The inspection member and the Chief Prosecutor were briefed on the work of the Khadir Prosecution, the level of completion and follow-up of cases under implementation, the progress of procedures for filing criminal cases before the courts, as well as listening to the complaints of prisoners and citizens, and giving the necessary guidance in this regard.
