Security update: Escalating hostilities in southern Lebanon as Israeli artillery, airstrikes target civilian areas, vehicles


Southern Lebanon has experienced a surge in hostilities on Friday with Israeli enemy artillery shelling targeting the outskirts of southern Lebanon’s Majdal Zoun, Chehhine, Jebbine, Alma al-Shaab, Tayr Harfa, and Naqoura, using heavy 155mm shells.

Meanwhile, enemy aircraft launched two consecutive airstrikes on the main road in the Barghilieh-Qasmieh area north of Tyre, with another strike hitting the outskirts of Toura, prompting the local municipality to reopen the road that had been closed due to the bombardment.

In Bint Jbeil, Israeli enemy drones targeted a vehicle near the martyr Salah Ghandoor Hospital.

Additionally, reports from the National News Agency indicate that enemy artillery has been firing illuminating and phosphorous shells at the outskirts of Alma al-Shaab, while the same area has also been targeted with tank shells.

Also, the southern town Dhayra is under mortar fire from 120mm enemy shells.

In another development, Israeli aircraft struck a house along the main road in the Barghilieh
area.

In Nabatieh, hostile drones conducted four airstrikes around the Amin Mosque, located between the villages of Zebdine and Maifadoun.

Meanwhile, in Marjeyoun, enemy warplanes targeted a vehicle belonging to the Islamic Health Authority near the government hospital in Jdeidah Marjeyoun.
