M.O.D UAE continued its impressive performance on the second day of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship – Round 4 (Gi), taking first place at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah and maintaining its lead for the second straight day.
Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club secured second place, while Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club finished third.
With competitions across the youth and kids categories, the event drew approximately 850 male and female competitors from various clubs and academies throughout the UAE on Saturday. The competitions for the Boys U14 and U16 will be held tomorrow.
The second day of the championship were attended by Abdulmunem Alsayed Mohammed Alhashmi, Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, President of the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Union, and Senior Vice President of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation; Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince of Fujairah; Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation; Yousef Abdullah Al Batran; and Sh
eikha Al Kaabi, Member of the Federal National Council.
Yousef Abdullah Al Batran said, ‘Today, we witnessed impressive performances from the young athletes, who demonstrated remarkable determination in a sport that requires both physical strength and a high level of skill. This reflects their talent and the success of our efforts to promote the sport among younger age groups.
‘Today’s completions showcased the children’s determination to win and earn points for their clubs, reflecting their sense of responsibility. Day by day, they are absorbing the values of jiu-jitsu, along with essential life skills such as patience, facing challenges, and building self-confidence.’
Sheikha Al Kaabi expressed her pleasure at attending the championship and participating in crowning the champions. ‘Jiu-jitsu has become a part of every household in the UAE and are increasingly popular among children and families. We are confident that the future holds even greater success for Emirati jiu-jitsu athletes,’ she said.

m Al Hosani, Technical Director of Jiu-Jitsu at Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, added: “Our club had a strong presence today, with 135 male and female athletes from our team, all of whom performed exceptionally. The level of talent displayed by these young athletes at such an early age is remarkable. Their precision, skill, and execution are outstanding, reflecting the efforts of our clubs and academies. They have not only promoted the sport but have also developed a new generation of champions.’
Fadi Bouri, father of Ameer Bouri from the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, expressed his excitement over his son winning gold in the Kids 2 white belt category. ‘I am thrilled with Amir’s achievement. We look forward to achieving great results in the upcoming championships. I would like to thank the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation for organizing these championships, which help our children excel at a young age and pave the way for their progression toward professionalism,’ he said.
