Al Wakrah will start their campaign in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Two 2024-25 in a match against Iran’s Tractor FC at Al Janoub Stadium on Wednesday, as part of Group A competitions.
Al Wakrah will seek to secure their three points to have a strong start in the continental tournament, before they face off Tajikistan’s FC Ravshan, in Dushanbe on October 2.
Group A also consists of Indian Super League champion, Mohun Bagan SG, and Tajikistan Higher League (Vysshaya Liga) champion, FC Ravshan, which will also have a match together on Wednesday, but at the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan Stadium, in Kolkata, India.
The Group Stage, running from September 17 to December 5, consists of 8 groups, split in half between East and West Asian teams, competing in a round-robin format to qualify for the knockout stage.
