The Deputy Chairman of the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission, Raydan Mohammed Al-Mutawakel, discussed with Finance Minister Abdul Jabbar Ahmed Mohammed, the plans and programs implemented by the Finance Ministry to automate financial work in various state institutions, and the electronic systems that have been deployed in those entities to reach electronic collection of revenues.
The meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Finance’s financial Minister disclosure statement, in the presence of KDIPA members Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Kameem and Engineer Harith Al-Omari, discussed the automation importance , its significant contribution to enhancing financial transparency , reducing corruption and extortion that accompanied the manual collection of revenues through paper slips, as well as providing accurate information on the financial positions of all entities in real time.
The meeting also discussed the plan to reform the conditions of the hygiene funds and the impact achieved by the shift to collect
their fees at customs ports, which boosted the funds’ revenues and allocated part of these revenues to purchase hundreds of vehicles , equipment and supply various funds with them during the past period.
The meeting emphasized the need for continued coordination between the Anti-Corruption Commission , the Finance Ministry and the roles integration during the coming period to enhance transparency and protect public money.
