Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Al Qasimia University (AQU) will organise the first Al Qasimia University International Conference on Manuscripts at the University’s headquarters in Sharjah on the 22nd, March.
The organisation of this conference comes in light of the distinguished roles played by the University’s House of Manuscripts.
This conference, in which the University invited researchers and specialists, to participate in scientific papers on different topics and themes; enhances digitising the original manuscripts, shedding light on the changing concepts of manuscript digitisation and its development.
Commenting on this, Prof. Awad Al-Khalaf, Acting President of Al Qasimia University, indicated that the conference will be held through a flexible participation, including either the hybrid format or in-person meeting. He stressed that the conference’s themes include five various axes.
Al-Khalaf pointed out that Al Qasimia University attracted several scholars, experts and researchers interested in this subject to be guests of Sharjah, the city of science and culture, the world capital of the book, within an academic programme that includes various cultural, social and tourist activities in the United Arab Emirates.
He stressed that the time programming of the conference’s stages will allow receiving research summaries until 10th February, 2022. Applicants should be notified of their research summaries’ acceptance on 20th February, so that full research papers are received until 3rd of March.
