Bisha University Female Students Win the 2nd Place at the 7th European International Conference on Industrial Engineering

A female student team affiliated with the Department of Industrial Engineering at the College of Engineering at the University of Bisha, Saudi Arabia, won the second place award supported by the German company SIEMENS, in the simulation competition that was held in Augsburg, Germany, within the activities of the Seventh International European Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management, with the participation of 46 countries around the world.

The award-winning project has designed a smart system to predict carbon dioxide emissions from traditional wood-fired heating systems in homes during winter.

Using SolidWorks and Proteus methodology, the simulation results showed that the system reduces carbon dioxide levels, which improves energy efficiency and maintains a comfortable temperature.

The system also provides an effective solution to improve indoor air quality, reduce health risks, and achieve a sustainable environment.
