Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, has announced the launch of the Create AI Agents Championship, marking a new vision for the previously established Create Apps Championship. This initiative is set to inspire transformative ideas and foster global technological advancement through artificial intelligence.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Championship aims to shift the focus from developing digital applications to creating autonomous AI-agent systems integrated into practical applications designed to meet real user needs and market requirements. The initiative will encourage participants to identify priority challenges and design AI agents to address them, with the potential to transform these solutions into viable products and services.
The Championship is open to innovators worldwide, including individuals and teams from both technical and non-technical backgrounds. Participants can submit innovative ideas or prototypes, while existing businesses may present new AI-agent solutions. The competition features four main categories: Best Societal AI Agent, Best Personal AI Agent, Best Business AI Agent, and Best Youth AI Agent. Winners will receive grants of AED550,000, with one participant earning the AI Agent of the Year title and AED1 million, within a total prize pool exceeding AED2.5 million.
Registration has opened for global participants, and the event will include workshops, training, mentorship, and resources to support the development of AI-agent systems. The competition underscores Dubai's efforts to lead in innovation and reinforce its global leadership in the economic application of advanced technologies.
